Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first gymnast to score a 10 for competing in the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi who was the Romanian gymnastics coach who would become Comaneci's coach later on found her around the age of six. In 1969, she competed in the Romanian Junior Games and finished 13th. She was awarded the championship in 1970. Three gold medals were awarded in her first competition at a junior Olympic meet in 1972 that was held by communist countries. In 1973 and 1974, she became the junior champion in all-round competitions. Her debut as a Senior in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. She was the five-time European champion, winning four gold medals and one silver. She took home the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman in history to complete a backward double salto as dismounting from the uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she began her career in the entertainment business as a performer as figure skater. Along with her younger twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol began her career in the entertainment business when she was a teenager. As a young girl, she began performing as an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling show of entertainment Ice Capades. The shows featured ice skating which included stage performances.
