Emily Irene VanCamp has been an Canadian actress for several years. The actress is famous for the roles she played in film and television. The popularity of her is shared by both Canadian as well as American television. Emily was interested in acting profession when she was just 12. Her older sister Katie on the set of a film. After realizing her passion for acting, she began to take acting classes, and then going for auditions. The first commercials she auditioned for were and was soon cast as a child actor on the Canadian TV horror series Are You afraid of the dark? where she was seen in a single scene with any spoken dialogue. Her debut break came around the age of 15 after she was spotted on the series of the WB called Glory Days as a regular. Emily's role in Glory Days, a show on WB that was cancelled after nine episodes, attracted the attention and interest of Greg Berlanti from Dawson's Creek. Emily, who is also a ballerina and photographer was named by Teen magazine as one of the most talented actresses under the age of 20. The Maxim's Hot 100 List of 2014 listed Emily as 51.
